Description
The Volcom Split Toe Booties with 3mm thick neoprene offer a range of applications for surfers. At water temperatures of 53-59 F° it is a necessity to have these to block out the cold. Helping to keep your extremities warm and safe in very cold conditions. From 60-65 F°, mild water temperatures, you can start to look at these booties as an optional performance accessory. Your feet will survive this temperature, but having feeling in your feet is definitely a plus while surfing. They can also offer board traction and protection from sharp rocky reef breaks.
Other than sheer thickness of these booties, additional warmth is provided by the Inner Thermal Lining. This layer is a brushed, quick-drying thermal fabric that traps heat and drains water rapidly between surf sessions. The seams are then sealed up, reinforced, and taped. This method is watertight and durable. Helping to prevent flushing and keep you comfortable.
These booties also feature a single layer rubber molded sole that delivers maximum board feel, a neoprene padded rubber coated adjustable arch strap for security, an ankle gusset for a snug cuff seal, and an overall split toe design with a leash barrier (keeping from toggling around the split toe design).
These booties, like most footwear, are unisex. These are sized in US Men’s. Add 1.5 to achieve the Women’s comparable US size. (Ex. Men’s size 7 = Women’s size 8.5.)
