Description
The Fornix MIPS Helmet is the original all-mountain helmet. Providing trusted protection for long days anywhere on the mountain. Now with an updated interior, for a more refined fit, giving you more comfort.
The protective elements from the Fornix MIPS Helmet comes from a combination of 4 features: PC Shell, EPS Liner, Aramid Bridges, and MIPS. The PC Shell is your first line of defence. A lightweight shell exterior that resists high impacts by flexing and absorbing energy. The EPS Liner is your second line of defence. Another lightweight material that crushes during impact to absorb the energy of an impact. Aramid Bridges are added to improve the structural strength, and enhance penetration protection (ie. a branch penetrating the helmet). Finally MIPS! MIPS enhances rotational impact protection by redirecting the force of an impact away from your brain. All of these safety elements are designed to work in unison during a slam to provide the best protection possible.
Creature comforts included on the Fornix MIPS are: Flexible and removable soft ear pads, a goggle clip at the back of the helmet, a 360 degree adjustable fit system (a custom secure fit), goggle chimney ventilation that helps reduce fog build up in your goggles, and finally adjustable ventilation at the top of the helmet for optimal comfort during diverse weather conditions.
