As every East Coast rider knows, it isn’t the depth of the snow that matters, but the quality of the layers. You never really know what type of conditions that mountain will bring on the East Coast. It could be 40 degrees or it could be 5 degrees, it could be snowing or it could be raining, but a quality piece makes all the difference. The Snowpack Socks are that quality piece.
Darn Tough made a very intentional decision to craft these with a larger amount of Merino Wool. Merino wool offers superior temperature regulation (Warm in the cold, breathable in the heat). Pulling away moisture and offering a natural odor resistance. Incredibly soft, breathable, and durable. It is the perfect material for evolving conditions that’ll get you through an entire East Coast winter.
Nylon is still used to enhance that durability, giving these socks the ‘Darn Tough’ stamp of approval. These socks have a precise performance fit for all day comfort, no bunching or slipping. A tall design to wear more comfortably with boots. An underfoot cushion to enhance comfort, and reduce impact strain, keeping you on the mountain longer. Finally, I have to call out that retro stripe pattern, who doesn't love a throw back?
